Seniors and Freshman “Share the love”

On Feb. 4, St. Lucy’s Priory High seniors and freshmen enjoyed a picnic lunch together on the front lawn. In celebration of Regent sisterhood, the mentorship program randomly pairs a senior and a freshman at the beginning of the year.

This past picnic was themed “Share the Love.” The seniors and the freshmen collaborated to donate to the Caterina’s Club in Anaheim. The Caterina’s Club is a program that prepares meals for families that live in motels due to financial difficulty.

The seniors brought a variety of marinara sauces and the freshmen brought different pastas ranging from penne to spaghetti. Senior class secretary Nicole Tunque stated that, “The picnic was as much about fun as it was about giving.”

The senior class officers rewarded Regents for their contributions with Valentine’s Day sweets. Amid laughter and food, freshmen and seniors had the opportunity to connect with one another about their experiences at St. Lucy’s.
